A SPORT LIFESTYLE SHOOT ON ROOSEVELT ISLAND

NOVEMBER 11, 2015 IN LIFESTYLEPORTRAITS

Stella McCartney is producing some of the most beautiful fitness wear available. Her collaboration with Adidas retains Stella's edgy style while complementing the classic sporting brand's iconic aesthetic in a perfect balance. I worked with Australian fitness model Mietta Gornall on New York City's Roosevelt Island to showcase the collection's feel. Urban. Stylish. Edgy. Bold. Feminine. The shoot came together easily on a gorgeous New York City afternoon.

Dancing on The High Line

JUNE 17, 2015 IN LIFESTYLEPORTRAITS

I recently shot New York City based dancer, Maria Bruun and decided the perfect location was The High Line. It's balance of nature, design and post industrial beauty is something that strongly appealed to me. Given that The High Line has quickly become one of New York's busiest tourist destinations, getting there early before the crowds filed in was important. We arrived before sunrise, as park officers were unlocking the gates for the day and for most of the shoot we had the place to ourselves.

PADDLE BOARDING IN MALIBU

APRIL 20, 2015 IN LIFESTYLE

California. Just it's name conjures images of sunshine and sandy beaches. As part of my West Coast series, I had no choice but to honor this omnipresent ingredient of the Californian lifestyle. Teaming up with Pro Beach Volleyball player and fitness model Chelsea Rashoff, I created a collection of photos that celebrate the suddenly in-vogue sport of paddle boarding. We met in Malibu and worked with a setting-sun along one of the most iconic stretches of beach in the world. How could it possibly go wrong?

FJELLØ FOR DAUGHTERS OF CULTURE

APRIL 19, 2015 IN LIFESTYLE

I recently took welcome work trip out to Los Angeles. One of the jobs i did was with the amazing Peggy Khoucasian of Daughters of Culture, a lifestyle clothing line with a strong yogic influence. We got up before daybreak and drove to the Griffith Observatory, a setting known for it's beautiful architecture and stunning views of LA. We worked with yogi/model Emily C. a native Los Angeleno, to create an original series of images for Daughters of Culture's social media content.

Hiking in Topanga

MARCH 22, 2015 IN LIFESTYLE

Coming directly from New York City I knew that the first part of my California series should be out and about in nature. Growing up in the country side of Denmark, this is one thing that I often really miss. I love the quietness and serenity that nature gives you. I met up with model / actress Hanna Bjørnø and we drove from her Mid City LA. apartment up to the beautiful surroundings of Topanga State Park and shot our series of images.

HANS ON THE MOVE

FEBRUARY 25, 2015 IN LIFESTYLE

Hans who for a living is a pharmaceutical came into town for a couple of days on a business trip. Literally 2 hours before he was leaving for JFK, I got him to pose for these running photos. Hans is an avid sportsman with a very impressive resume; he's done 2 full Ironmans, 3 half Ironmans, 12 Marathons and a ton of other smaller races. Hans spends around 10 to 12 hours a week on swimming, running and biking - At the moment he is training for the Ironman in Nice, France that's happening in June 2015 which will be his 3rd Ironman. Other than his training, Hans also holds a fulltime job, is married and has two kids under 5 years old. I swear, some people seriously have more hours in a day. Good luck Hans!!!

TENNIS

FEBRUARY 04, 2015 IN LIFESTYLE

Anyone who knows me well, knows that I LOVE tennis! I watch anything and everthing that happens on or off the court. I watch the big matches and the small matches. So i teamed up with personal trainer Sarah Dyer to create a series of Adidas by Stella McCartney's newest edition for the Australian Open. Even though the January weather in New York City isn't quite the same as Melbourne at this time a year, Sarah braved the chill and the -5 celcius weather, pretending to be warm for this shoot. Way to go!
